Hi there!

I hope you are all doing well and are using your Mindfulness Strategies daily! Practicing our breathing helps us be able to be happier throughout the day and helps us be able to use our brains better!

Let's talk about home learning....

This is a tricky thing. We aren't at school, we aren't able to focus as well, and we have things like video games, the iPad, outside fun, and brothers or sisters who might be more interesting than doing the work teachers have sent to do at home.

I am not here to tell you YOU MUST DO ALL THE WORK. Let's face it, that's hard. What is important is that you try to do SOME of the work. Read or look at a book before bed, practicing your printing or writing, do some fun math games on your tablet that your teacher has sent you, visit a museum online or explore Google Maps! Your teachers are all pretty fantastic. They have sent you fun activities to do at home to keep your brain doing it's fabulous thinking thing so that it is ready for school when we go back to school.

I imagine it is really hard especially if you are little and/or need help to do your work at home. You are pretty smart though! I bet you have a favorite book you can practice reading, an electronic device you know how to use (probably better than your mom or dad) to play a math game or read a story on, and I bet you also can find a piece of paper and a pencil to make a story.

I want you to try your best to do something, ANYTHING that your teacher has sent, each day at home to keep your brain learning.

Take care,

Ms. Munn

P.S: Use your mindfulness strategies to make sure your brain is ready to do the learning you decided to do!
